Darkest Horizon invites you to a new style of symphonic music paired with melodic
death metal. With the right mix of timeless melodies and modern metal tunes, the
sound takes you on a journey of cinematic proportions.
The idea of creating a dark and heavy form of film score epicness through keyboard
arrangements, guitar solos and extreme vocals, became a driving force behind the
band. It is what separates Darkest Horizon from typical Power Metal or Death Metal.
It is also what makes every live concert attractive to a wide variety of fans of metal,
rock ‘n roll or classical music.
Since the band’s foundation in 2010, Darkest Horizon was positively received from
various magazines and webzines (e.g. Metal Hammer, Orkus Magazine,
Planetmosh). Without any down-time, the band is eagerly working (...) Show moreon a large
number of innovative songs. The EP “Shattered Skies” was released in early 2011 and
was the starting shot for many (headlining) gigs in local concert halls as well as big
festivals like the Metalfest Open Airs.
In late 2011 Darkest Horizon drew the attention of Cubeaudio who worked with big
names like In Flames and Guano Apes. Since then the band is cooperating closely
with Cubeaudio and recorded three further songs, showing even more facets of their
music (including the band’s first ballad).
In 2015 Darkest Horizon was chosen to be the opening act for the glorious Cradle of Filth!
